THEME OF THE CONVENTION: “SQC for Leadership Development"
On 7th November 2007, the closing day of the Third National Convention on Students’ Quality Circle – 2007 (3rd NCSQC’07) held on 6th and 7th November 2007 at Little Angels School, Hattiban, Lalitpur, Nepal, the QUEST Nepal agreed to make the following declaration as follows, in the presence of Dr. Richard Ennals, Advisor WCTQEE, UK, Dr. (Mrs.) Vineeta Kamran, Executive Director, WCTQEE, India, Mr. P.C.Bihari, Honarary Executive Director, WCTQEE, India and Mr. Abdul Wahid Mir, Director General, WCTQEE, Pakistan, with full commitment and support for promoting the movement of Students Quality Circle in Educational institutes taking collaborative approach.
Resolution 1: We are deeply honoured to have inaugurated the 3rd National Convention on Students’ Quality Circles by Honourable Minister for Education and Sports Mr. Pradeep Nepal. Moreover, we extend our sincere acknowledgement to Honourable Minister for his motivating address to all participants. We also like to extend our sincere thank to Honourable Vice Chairman of Nepal Interim Parliament Mrs. Chandralekha Yadav for her valuable presence and thought provoking address to all participants.
Resolution 2: We extend our hearty thanks to international guests from World Council for Total Quality and Excellence in Education Dr. Richard Ennals, UK, Dr. Vineeta Kamran, India, Mr. P.C. Bihari, India and Mr. Abdul Wahid Mir, Pakistan for their highly intellectual and influential key note speeches to participants which will be a guidelines to the future direction of QUEST – Nepal activities for promoting Quality Circles among students with a collaborative approach.
Resolution 3: We agreed that the QUEST - Nepal work collaboratively with various national and international professional, educational, businesses and civil society organizations for the promotion of Quality consciousness in each sectors of nation building by taking initiatives in leadership development among students through Students Quality Circles, Total Quality Management and Information Communication Technology.
Resolution 4: We agreed that QUEST-Nepal work to outreach the Students Quality Circles movement in pubic, private and community run academic institutions all over the country including rural areas of Nepal linking them with global developments.
Resolution 5: We put record the role of Mr. Umesh Shrestha, Convenor, Mr. Mukunda Sharma, Co-convenor, their team at Little Angels’ School with active support of the colleagues from PABSON and members of various technical committee for successful accomplishment of the 3rd National Convention on Students’ Quality Circles.
Resolution 6: We agreed to conduct the 4th National Convention at St. Xavier’s School, Jawalakhel, Lalitpur Nepal in the month of November 2008.
